The Greater Macedonia Baptist Church presented the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project this past Sunday, during the 10 a.m. worship service. The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project aim is to intervene in the lives of minority male youth in an effort to provide them with positive role models and experiences that will empower them to make good choices and encourage healthy living, responsibility, respect, and achievement. The young men of the 5000 Role Models were recognized with gifts of new suits, shoes and ties, a gift, complements of Rev. Dr. Landon L. Williams, Sr. Pastor.
During this service the congregation also conducted its Black History Commemoration, through song and spoken word.
“This was a momentous occasion, we were blessed in the name of our Lord,” said member Michelle Williams.
