Every day from sunup to sundown entrepreneur Lisa Norman is surrounded by mothers and children dropping off their children at her day care establishment located in the Sherwood Plaza on Soutel Rd. Witnessing the exhaustion of the mothers at the daycare, her family and community, Lisa took matters into her hands and crafted an inaugural ‘Mother’s Day Brunch’ inside the Allusions Event Center. Women were invited to the brunch for a day to be serenaded, release their stress and laugh out loud at comedian Duval Diva jokes and a special recognition for the eldest/youngest and mother with the most children!

Guests were adorned in their colorful attire and winning smiles for a brunch featuring an assortment of salads, pastries, fish/shrimp grits and the Holy Grail mimosas! “I’m just elated at this brunch for mothers.  Being a mother can be overwhelming, we really needed this,” said guest Latisha Robinson. To show her appreciation for the districts elected official, Norman and her team presented State of Florida Representative Angie Nixon with a mother’s day award for her tenacity, common sense solutions and fight for equal rights advocacy. Norman smiled, “I see women tired everyday and not taking care of themselves. I’m an advocate for mental health comfort and release,” said Norman. Guests also received personalized gift goody bags and the opportunity to speak to the audience on what motherhood means to you!  Shown are mothers of the community enjoying their brunch.
