The Faithful, Resourceful, Independent/Intelligent, Eclectic, Divinely (F.R.I.E.N.D.S) connected and joined together over the holiday weekend for their 8th annual international friendship appreciation luncheon held at River City Brewing Company. The Friends first gathered in 2010 after spending several years nursing organizer Staci Anderson back to health. Staci was in a car accident that left her unable to take care of herself and her friends were right there by her side to provide support. The friends would take turns on various shifts throughout the week to assist with Staci’s recovery. Finally Staci had the idea of having all the friends over for a luncheon to network and express gratitude for their kindness and support. The inaugural luncheon was held at a local apartment complex where the friends had to bring a gift to present to another friend. Each friend spoke on how they meet Staci and the rest is history! The luncheon is held every November and includes women from all walks of life. Each month the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. gather for a prayer breakfast, volunteer at local non profits and take turns hosting a monthly luncheon. Women in the friends group range in age from 50 – 80 years of age and hail from England, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, China, Vancouver, Toronto New Zealand and several Caribbean Islands. The merriment is a month long celebration and is always held in the month of November. Shown is F.R.I.E.N.D.S Gail Wyman, Celeste Allman-Douglas, Ramona Roberts, Renea Armstrong, Josephine Jones, Connie Miller, Lauren Bell, Roxanne Hilbert (1st runner up Ms Senior Diva 2016), Clara Williams, Diane Smith, Hennie Style, Gwendolyn Sulivan and Staci Anderson.
