Empowerment Resources, Inc. held a private virtual celebration to recognize the accomplishments of 20 girls and award scholarships to four graduating seniors for the 16th Annual Journey Into Womanhood SM (JIW) Awards Celebration. The JIW celebration included a live DJ, talent showcase including student’s artwork, spoken word and a recorded musical performance.
Over the summer, Empowerment Resources Inc. will continue to provide a virtual space for girls to get mentorship, but will also provide virtual programming for Parenting Education and Coaching and Life Skills for boys and girls. 42 girls have graduated from the JIW program receiving thousands in scholarships in the past 16 years with 93 percent entering college or the military
