Digital art Fest Showcases AfroFuturism

The 2nd Annual Digital Art Fest, held inside WJCT studios and presented by Afrofuturism Experience featured large scale fashion show, live music, work by emerging artist, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Art experiences. Participants were able to retrieve assistance with setting up your phone apps and the creation of interactive experience through art, history, culture and into the future of digital design. The fest also presented an Afrofuturism curated fashion show with emerging artist live performances and special guest DJ playing Afro Beat Fusion.

The Afrofuturism Fashion Show was a one of kind curated fashion show of emerging fashion design and models in a larger than life digital environment mixed with physical and digital avatar based fashion from the future.

“Our passion resides in the power of art and technology to inspire community dialog around cultural themes and action towards the possibilities of the future,” said model Ciera Edwards. The purpose of the art fest is to present the latest technology with entertainment to create unique cultural experiences while leveraging resources and bridging the digital divide in underserved communities around the world.
