After almost being called off, District 10 Councilwoman Jucoby Pittman saved the day for the 10th annual Lil Duval Day! This year the annual event was moved from Myrtle and Kings Road to their new location at Clanzel T. Brown Park.

The community came out in full force to support their hometown hero. A graduate of First Coast high school, Lil Duval is known for his comedic antics, movie roles, R&B hits and his affiliation and association with rappers, musicians and actors in the entertainment industry.  The annual block party was billed as more than a celebration, but a come together day promoting Duvals culture, community ties and the opportunity to empower youth, honor their talents and give back to the northside urban core residents.

The event featured vendors, DJ’s, live music, celebrity appearances, and a special performance by Jacksonville’s own Lil Duval and friends. “I’m from here. This city made me, and I’ll never stop showing love to the people that raised me,” said Lil Duval. “This event is about giving back, celebrating where I come from, and showing the next generation that I see them, support them, and believe in them. It’s all love in Duval.”
