Jacksonville faith leaders “took a knee” on the steps of the Jacksonville Sheriff’ s Office for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the approximate amount of time Derek Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd’s neck on Memorial Day. The faith leaders said they will continue to protest peacefully until city leaders listen to their demands and begin honest conversation.
