For 32 years, Culinary Chef Keith Smith has devoted his time and skills to the Clara White Mission (CWM) food bank. In honor of his dedication to his family and job, Smith was feted with a surprise 50th birthday party held at the mission. More than sixty of Smiths closest friends and family members gathered to wish him well in honor of his 50th year milestone.

Smith is a graduate of Ribault High School and product of the schools Reserve Officer Training Corps program.  After graduating high school Keith ventured into his affection for cooking and studied and graduated from the Florida Technical College in Orlando, Florida. Smith’s Culinary Arts degree provided the tools to specialize in the theoretical and practical knowledge required in the food industry.
Not one to venture too far away from home, in 1987 Smith found his ministry at the Clara White Mission. “I walked in the door, was hired on the spot and have enjoyed my tenure here at the mission. The opportunity for growth and helping people go hand in hand,” said Smith.  Dominic Rogers photo
