The Martin Luther King Foundation held their 40th annual MLK Parade and MLK day activities, Monday, January 20th in downtown Jacksonville.  Thousands of residents, many of whom weren’t even alive in Dr. Kings Lifetime, lined Bay Street and waved to paraders for a worldwide celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. This year’s Grand Marshall was superintendent of Duval County Public Schools Dr. Diane Greene. The days activities included history reflections at the Ritz Theater and Museum free admission to the Cummer Museum. Many also spent a day “on” and not a day “off” to honor the dream.
