By Lynn Jones | As legislative and governing boards approve recreation marijuana sales around the country, Cannabis entrepreneurs are bringing medically infused wellness products to the forefront. Established in 2021, Scorpion Hemp World, located in Orlando recently held their grand opening in Altamont Springs with Florida State Senator Jason T. Brodeur on the ribbon cutting front line. “This was an amazing day. “Dreams do come true and when you’re helping others, help will come to you,” said founder Latisha Robinson. Scorpion Hemp World specializes in health and wellness options to heal the mind, body and soul. The store also includes meditation and massage services to release toxins from your body for mental health cleansing.
Born in Gardena, California, Robinson took on the responsibility of raising her siblings and four of her children collectively instilling education and good manners with the ability to achieve the impossible mantras. Before moving to Florida, Robinson held a plethora of jobs as a salespersons, construction site worker, cleaning homes and eventually was on a smoke-shop clean-up detail and ‘voila,’ the light bulb came on and her business was born. Since moving to the Orlando area, store sales have skyrocketed and opportunities for cannabis training, conferences and investment opportunities clog her calendar. The shop has also been frequented by local and national celebrities, recently visited by comedian ‘Ha-Ha’ Davis of Detroit, Michigan. The shops products include: vapes, flower, Cannabidiol (CBD – a naturally occurring chemical that may provide benefits for anxiety, depression, and pain), shea butters, natural herbs and teas. With her experience she has currently opened another venture: Cookies Quality Cleaning Services. Robinson remarked, “I’m truly blessed and highly favored. I never knew that entrepreneurship was an option,” she said smiling.
