THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL SOCIETY HOSTS COVID-19 VIRTUAL CONFERENCE THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2019
Palm Coast, FL – The African American Cultural Society, Inc. (AACS) of Flagler County located in Palm Coast Fla. will host the second in a series of teleconferences whose aim is to facilitate a greater understanding of the Covid disease, its mutations, available vaccines, and the residual effects of quarantine on the mental health of the community.

In partnership with the Flagler County Department of Health, Advent Health, community-based organizations and leaders, AACS strives to serve as a clearing house for unaddressed questions and concerns contributing to ‘vaccine hesitancy’.

In addition, the Florida Flagler Department of Health has designated the AACS Cultural Center as a vaccination site. On April 12, 2021 from 9 am to 11 am AACS will schedule people aged 18 and up to have their first vaccine of Moderna.

There will need to be a follow up of the same vaccine in 4 weeks – on May 10, 2021 9 am – 11am.
AACS will screen those who arrive at the facility to determine if they need to receive their vaccine closer to medical care, as there will be another location servicing those with severe allergies, etc.

At the present time we have a limit of 200 slots that will be offered to members and their families and then open to the public. Appointments can be made by calling the offices of AACS at 386-447-7030 between the hours of 10 am – 2 pm, Monday thru Friday.

AACS is proud to be a community partner in this endeavor. As it is our mission to be a resource for individuals of the community to make informed decisions regarding their health and to be a catalyst for positive community engagement that fosters a healthy society.
