Take ‘Em Down Jax (TEDJ) is hosting a community event next month, bringing Dr. Andrea Douglas author of ‘After Emancipation: Racism and Resistance at the University of Virginia,’ to lead a discussion about the city’s Confederate monuments, markers and other symbols for the ‘Recasting the Past: From Confederate Monuments to Symbols of Peace,’ forum Friday, July 12th, from 6-9 p.m. at The Jessie at 40 E.
