About the Rotary Club of Jacksonville:
The Rotary Club of Jacksonville was Founded Feb. 13, 1912 and was Chartered May 15, 1912, it was the First Rotary Club in the State of Florida and has the distinction of being one of a very few to have been sponsored by Rotary’s first club…the Rotary Club of Chicago. Paul Harris – the founder of Rotary and once a Jacksonville resident – convinced his former boss George Clark to organize a group of Jacksonville business leaders to form the 41st club. The year was 1912.
