Melanin Market Black History Month Parade and Celebration This Weekend

JACKSONVILLE, FLA (Feb. 19, 2025) – The Jax Melanin Market will highlight more than 50 Black-owned businesses, educational experiences, and a variety of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy during its Black History Month Parade and Celebration this Saturday, February 22 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 822 A. Philip Randolph Blvd.
The parade will begin at 1 p.m. at the intersection of E. 7th Street and Florida Avenue. For ideal viewing, guests can line the streets along A. Philip Randolph Blvd. between E. 1st Street and E. Union Street.
As the only Black History parade celebration in Jacksonville, the Jax Melanin Market will feature vendors, a kid’s zone, food trucks and entertainment from local high schools as they battle it out on the street.
Additionally, in support of the Melanin Market’s mission to help small, minority-owned businesses grow and prosper in the local economy, the Melanin Market will select five business owners to receive a $1,000 microgrant to cover expenses that elevate their business. Thanks to a partnership with Community First Cares Foundation, this event will help raise awareness of these businesses to support their growth and development.
