LifeSouth Announces “Be The Hero In Someone’s Story” Winter Blood Drive

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers announces “Be The Hero In Someone’s Story,” a winter blood drive being held at select Duval County public libraries throughout December. Members of the community will have the opportunity to give back through donating blood, and enjoy a good book read at the same time. Additionally, donors who give blood will receive an e-gift card and a holiday-themed t-shirt.
LifeSouth supplies blood to 70% of Northeast Florida hospital beds through its service to many regional hospitals, including Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Baptist Medical Center South, Baptist Medical Center Clay County, HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, UF Health Jacksonville, UF Health North and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. These hospitals are relying on LifeSouth and LifeSouth blood donors to make sure blood is available before it is needed to help patients suffering from traumas, cancers and chronic illnesses.

Beaches Branch: Friday, December 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
