FSCJ Black History Jazz Concerts

Each FSCJ campus will host jazz musician Al Waters, a native of Jacksonville and graduate of New Stanton Senior High School. He has played with Ray Charles, Teddy Washington and many other jazz greats throughout history, and now serves as the conductor/arranger/performer for the Ritz Theater Jazz Orchestra. He’s been performing and lecturing as a full-time musician since the late 70s and has been a featured soloist with groups performing blues, top-forty, soul, Motown, reggae, ska, swing and jazz.
