FOBL Black History Month Program

Jacksonville will come alive in celebration of Black History Month and the Negro National Anthem February 12th-16th, as the Friends of the Brentwood Public Library will honor the legacy of Jacksonville’s Native Sons and World Citizens, James Weldon Johnson and J. Rosmond Johnson. Lift Every Voice and Sing was written by James and the music was composed by Rosamond in 1899 in Jacksonville, FL.
