Bricks, Treats & Thrills: LEGOLAND Florida Goes Big for Halloween

Shown is Martin and Prince Walker readying for a Legoland experience.

By Tanyika Armstrong | Urban Traveler Jr. | For the first time, Brick-or-Treat has expanded to Peppa Pig Theme Park with Peppa’s Halloween Party, giving little ones ages 2 to 5 a Halloween celebration of their own. Peppa and George dress for the occasion as kids come in costume, collect candy and enjoy the preschool-sized rides and attractions. It’s a fun way to bring the Brick-or-Treat experience to LEGOLAND’s youngest visitors.

For my kids, the all-new Galacticoaster stole the show. Before boarding the indoor family coaster, kids design their own LEGO spacecraft and then watch their creation become part of the adventure. It’s fast, interactive and creative — exactly the kind of experience that makes LEGOLAND different from your typical amusement park.

Of course, Brick-or-Treat was why my kids packed their costumes. We hit the candy stations, rode the rides and caught Halloween-themed shows before ending the night with the Monster Skytacular Drone Show, an impressive display of drones lighting up the sky to music.

We also made time for SEA LIFE Florida, where the interactive touchpool gave the kids a chance to get hands-on with marine life, including starfish.

Last year taught us that one day wasn’t enough, so this time we stayed overnight at LEGOLAND Florida Resort — and that was the icing on the cake. With themed rooms, bunk beds, LEGO play areas, treasure hunts, a pool and activities for the kids, the resort is an experience all by itself.

My advice? Make it a weekend. There’s too much to enjoy in one day.

Through Nov. 30, eligible military members, veterans and first responders can also receive a free one-day ticket, plus 50% off admission for up to six accompanying guests.

Each visit brings something different, and I can’t wait to see what fun and innovative adventure they come up with next year.
