The DONNA Foundation celebrated breast cancer survivorship and every mom this weekend with the annual ICE DONNA Mother’s Day 5K in historic riverside. The ‘Celebrate Every Mom,’ campaign, honored moms everywhere through fundraising, advocacy and more. The race started and finished at Riverside’s Friday Musicale and thanks to a matching gift challenge, sponsored by Golf Fights Cancer, funds raised during the campaign will be matched, up to $20,000. Baptist Buddy Bus was also on the premises providing mammograms from 7 – 11 a.m.  Approximately one in three patients served by The DONNA Foundation is mothers with children at home. By hosting this event on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend, Foundation leaders hope to inspire moms everywhere to take steps toward understanding, improving and protecting their breast health, this and every year. “This yearly event provides hope, support and financial relief to those living with breast cancer,’ said Ashley Williams.
