Nearly a decade after controversially entering an urban neighborhood to positively impact the lives of neighborhood youth. The Boselli Foundation is still making a difference in at-risk neighborhoods on the Northside of Jacksonville. Established in 2007 by Angi and Tony Boselli, the Youth Life Learning Centers (YLLC) located at the Simond-Johnson Recreation center, focuses on providing children with limited financial resources in a holistic, comprehensive, after-school learning environment. The center focuses on students through eighth grade empowering them through mentoring, teaching life skills and character development. Their services also include free pick up of over 40 children from the students’ home school, healthy snacks and after care through 6 p.m. Pictured are the Simond-Johnson Recreation Center children experimenting concocting homemade ice cream with ice, milk and sugar.
