The Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority held a “Flood the Polls” event at the newly re-opened early voting site at Edward Waters University (EWU). Chapter members left in a convoy from the Zeta Phi Beta sorority house at 3805 Moncrief Rd. (across from Williams M.Raines high school) and drove in a convoy to EWU to the Schell-Sweet Community Resource Center to vote and rally to bring attention to the polling site in an effort to bring in voters. The re-opening of Edward Waters University as an early voting site represents a win for student voters and residents in the surrounding community. This achievement was made possible by the intense advocacy of students, community organizations, and community leaders.
