From small businesses offering local deals and nonprofit organizations sharing their mission, to proud locals posting photos of their favorite neighborhoods, murals, parks, and restaurants, the grassroots 904 Day campaign is powered by participation. While the first mentions of #904Day started organically on social media, the celebration gained momentum in 2021 when a collective effort to amplify the concept was launched by representatives from the City of Jacksonville, WJCT Public Media, Downtown Vision, Inc., the JAX Chamber, Visit Jacksonville, the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Wingard.
