Jacksonville’s own friendship ambassador Lynette ‘Lynn’ Jones in partnership with DJ Showtime launched the inaugural D.I.V.I.N.E. (Debonair, Innovative, Victorious, Intellectual, Nubian & Excellence) Voyage for an Easter weekend filled with relaxation, entertainment, and unforgettable memories.
Cruisers embarked from Jacksonville cruise dock for the four-day cruise that set sail to the Grand Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay. The weekend lineup included a lively meet-and-greet welcome, midnight pajama party, card games, daily raffle, birthday recognition’s and an all-white Easter Sunday celebration. Guests also received welcome bags filled with cruise welcome aboard gift items.
“So glad I came! Great experience for my first cruise,” said Evangeline Horsley, one of the excited first-time travelers. Originally planned as a Divine 9 collaboration cruise, Omega Psi Phi member Marcus McNeil and Zeta Phi Beta member Lynette Jones partnered to curate a travel experience that showcased the ship’s amenities and highlighted options for solo travel, group adventures, family vacations, or even executive meetings aboard the vessel’s many venues.
Norwegian Cruise Line began sailing from JAXPORT in Jacksonville in October 2025 and will continue offering departures each year between November and April (winter cruise season), giving locals even more opportunities to explore the world by sea.
