The Sigma Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., recently hosted its new member presentation at Julia Landon College Preparatory, formally introducing the chapter’s newest brothers to the community at 7:06 p.m. The presentation honored six men who recently crossed the “burning sands” into the nation’s first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men. Collectively known as the “6 Pillars of Purpose,” the new members embody leadership, scholarship, and a deep commitment to service. First Vice President Douglas Jones stated, “I am excited to welcome these men into the House of Alpha and look forward to the meaningful contributions they will make to our chapter and the community.”
