The Jacksonville Marriott Downtown served as the setting for the Lambda Lambda Psi, Inc. H.O.W. (Honoring Our Women) Legacy Award Gala, a formal celebration recognizing women whose influence and dedication have made a meaningful impact within their families, organizations, and communities.
During the evening, 14 women were honored for their outstanding contributions across a variety of fields including education, athletics, medicine, entrepreneurship and business, faith, and community service. The Honoring Our Women initiative recognizes the many ways women shape and uplift society—often without public recognition or applause. Each honoree is nominated by family members, friends, and loved ones. These nominations served as powerful testimonials to the honorees impact leading to their formal recognition at the gala.
Lambda Lambda Psi, Inc. was founded in 2022 by Dr. E. Denise Williams and has quickly grown into a vibrant sisterhood. The organization currently includes 37 members who are committed to fostering a supportive community built on the values of faith, family, and fellowship. Lambda Lambda Psi welcomes women of all ethnicities and backgrounds, united by shared core values and a desire to make a positive difference in the world. “We promote integrity, honesty, dignity, character, and loyalty,” said founder Dr. Denise Williams. Organizers vow to the H.O.W. Legacy Award Gala to serve as an inspiring platform to celebrate women who lead through service, compassion, and commitment to uplifting others. “It was a tremendous honor to be acknowledged alongside a multitude of dynamic women,” said honoree Lakiesha Burton shown pictured with chapter member Annette Brown during the celebration.
