Raines and Ribault Graduates Continue to Historically Soar as Colonels in the Army

October was the month the U.S. Military promoted Ribault graduate Canisha Moses-Martin to the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army, while Colonel Xavier C. Allen became the highest-ranking military officer to ever graduate from William M. Raines Senior High school.

Colonel Moses-Martin, a c/o 1998 graduate of Jean Ribault Senior High school, became the highest-ranking Trojan to ever serve in the U.S. Army known to date. The 21 year veteran is a graduate of Florida A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Trident University.  Colonel Moses-Martin is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and currently serves at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as the Deputy Director for Nursing, Inpatient Nursing Services.

Holding down the Duval fort is Colonel Xavier C. Allen, a c/o 1992 graduate from William M. Raines Senior High school. Allen is a Military Graduate of Florida A&M University and has held numerous key leadership positions in the Army both as a non-commissioned officer and officer in both peace and wartime.  Allen has 33 years of military tenure and currently serves as the Chief of Operations, Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Pentagon. Colonel Allen’s promotion ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General David Wilson (Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9) in the Hall of Heroes, in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
