Maceo Elks Lodge #8 to Host Initiation Celebration Presentation for our New Members
Jacksonville, FL Saturday, August 2nd 2025 Maceo Elks Lodge #8 is proud to announce a special Initiation Celebration Presentation to welcome our new members into the historic lodge.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at 712 W. Duval Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202, and is open to the public.

In addition, we are having a car show in the morning to obtain school supplies to benefit the Duval County students for the upcoming school year.

Founded on December 7th, 1898 (126 years ago), Maceo Elks Lodge #8 stands as the oldest lodge in the State of Florida and the 8th lodge established nationally under the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World (I.B.P.O.E. of W.), which was originally founded on September 28th, 1898 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Pullman Porters Arthur James Riggs and Benjamin Franklin Howard.

This celebratory event will highlight the introduction of new members into the Elks tradition, honoring their commitment to the organization’s enduring values of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity.
