Remington Hospitality Names Two New General Managers

Sidneia Semedo and Lacey Childress Step into Leadership Roles Upon Completion of UPGM Program | DALLAS — July 2, 2025 — Remington Hospitality, a leading hotel management company, is excited to announce the promotion of two associates to General Manager: Sidneia Semedo of Embassy Suites by Hilton Las Vegas and Lacey Childress of Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville JTB/Deerwood Park. These elevations are the result of the completion of the company’s UPGM (Unleash Potential General Manager) program, an initiative designed to empower rising talent and create a clear path for internal advancement.

Developed by Remington Hospitality, the UPGM program is a six-month initiative designed to identify and develop high-potential associates for general manager roles, while supporting long-term talent retention. In response to the growing demand for hands-on learning and leadership training, the program equips participants with the tools, support, and confidence needed to succeed. The two recent promotions mark a significant milestone and underscore Remington Hospitality’s commitment to cultivating leadership from within.

Semedo brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience and a strong operational background to her new role. After nearly a decade with Remington Hospitality, she has held several key positions, including task force general manager, steadily rising through the ranks from PBX operator to front office manager and rooms division manager. As General Manager, Semedo will oversee daily hotel operations, lead cross-functional teams, and drive both exceptional guest experiences and strong business performance. Her long-standing connection to Remington’s culture and values positions her to foster a collaborative environment that empowers teams to succeed.

“Remington’s UPGM program pushed me to grow and gave me the tools I needed to be ready for this moment,” said Semedo. “I’m honored and excited to continue building on what we’ve achieved together.”

Childress brings more than 19 years of hospitality experience and a solid background in hotel operations to her new role as general manager. With 12 years of experience working within Hilton brands, Childress has developed expertise across both major hotel chains and boutique properties. Since joining Remington in 2023, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional growth by taking on multiple task force assignments while volunteering for opportunities to expand her skills. Known for her goal-oriented approach and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, Childress will continue to build on these strengths in her new position, overseeing administrative functions, resolving guest issues, and maintaining organized, efficient operations.

My experience at UPGM gave me the confidence to lead with purpose,” said Childress. “I’m grateful for the investment Remington has made in my career and look forward to what’s ahead.”

The UPGM program underscores Remington Hospitality’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and accelerating career growth through clear, actionable pathways to leadership.
