Jax Ghana Association Inducts New Members

The official inauguration of the Ghana Association of Jacksonville held their inaugural officers induction at the Doubletree Hotel Jax Airport location. The aims and objectives of the Association as clearly listed in its constitution includes membership support through socialization and the building of lasting relationships, cultural training of youth by balancing the influence between the Ghanaian culture and other cultures in instilling the best of Ghanaian values and our rich cultural heritage. The evening’s activities included a poem recital, cultural dance showcase, children’s play area, inauguration cake celebration and a proclamation presentation from Councilman Dr. Rahman Johnson. Additionally, the Association aims to provide a platform for information sharing and communication including but not limited to financial investment and planning, health awareness, employment and business opportunities, career development and education in areas deemed useful to members. The association also hopes to serve and give back to the city of Jacksonville and communities in Ghana.
