30 Years In – Local Rapper Natalac Continues to Rock the Industry

By Lynn Jones | Sheldon Martinez Davis, a 1992 graduate of Ribault High School has many talents. His multiple source of income as an entrepreneur includes everything from truck driver to music industry industry.

For more than twenty years Natalac and his crew have produced records through his Natalac Record Label featuring southern rappers from Atlanta and Duval. One of his mentees was late rapper Julio Foolio.  Foolio passed away in 2024 after being shot for his lyrics and gang activity.

With more than 30 years of experience in the music industry, Natalac has maintained his popularity through community advocacy, music, films and podcasts entities. During his career he has sold CD’s, worked his various businesses, mentored youth from his alma mater  and shared the stage with music industry legends.

Elaborating on his many friendship, Natalac was quick to share that rappers that manage themselves are the key to an artist musical and industry success. Natalac agreed that navigating the gatekeepers in the entertainment industry consists of years of influence, marketability and longevity.

Currently Natalac is promoting his current album, ‘The Return of Goldie,’ a musical anthology inspired by his life’s journey and growth in Duval County. Natalac continues his fight for juvenile justice as a member of the Nubians United for Self-Defense (NUSD). Natalac is scheduled to host the ‘State of Emergency! Saving Black Youth Summit,’ Sunday, March 23rd, 2 – 5 p.m., inside the Island Tropics Banquet Hall, 2527 North Main Street. The summit is dedicated to taking action to mentoring youth on the First Coast from gun and gang violence.
