2016 Grant Applications Now Available from The Community Foundation

For those grant seekers serving young children, and certain arts organizations and individual artists

 

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – January 5, 2016—The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida has posted grant applications for certain categories of competitive 2016 grant making. These applications are available at www.jaxcf.org/apply and are limited to these areas at this time:

Early Childhood

Nonprofit Organizations in Duval County

  • The Community Foundation will seek to promote the growth of creative and efficient services to at-risk children under six years of age, primarily through work with parents and caregivers.
  • Grants of $2,500-$10,000 will be made for work for one year.
  • Funded through the Jacksonville Children’s Endowment at The Community Foundation

  • Applications due by April 11, 2016 for grants beginning August 1, 2016.

 The Arts              

Individual Artists—Art Ventures

  • The Community Foundation seeks to invest in individual artists who are pursuing the next step in their artistic development.
  • Grants of up to $3,500 will be awarded for one year
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and reside in Duval, Clay, Nassau, St. Johns or Baker County.

  • Applications due by April 4, 2016 for grants beginning August 1, 2016.

Small Arts Organizations—Art Ventures

  • The Community Foundation will be support administrative development of small arts organizations by strengthening leadership, planning and governance practices.
  • Grants of up to $5,000 for Capacity Building will be awarded for one year.
  • Applications for Capacity Building grants are due February 25, 2016 for grants beginning May 15, 2016.

Visual Arts in St. Augustine—Dr. JoAnn Crisp-Ellert Fund

  • Grant application must promote visual art appreciation and/or visual art education in St. Augustine.
  • Awards of up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations will be made for work lasting up to one year; grant contracts begin August 15, 2016.
  • Preliminary applications are due by March 15, 2016. Applicants will be notified by April 7, 2016 if they are eligible to make a full grant application.
