JACKSONVILLE, FL (August 27, 2025) –– The historic, nonprofit Florida Theatre raised over $50,000 during its 12th annual Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ event last week at Bowing Oaks. Many thanks to all the vendors, sponsors, members, and Theatre supporters who donated their services and purchased tickets to this amazing fundraiser!
Publix Super Markets Charities was the Presenting Sponsor of the August 21st event benefitting the historic Florida Theatre.
This is the third year Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ has been at Bowing Oaks. Bowing Oaks has been a Corporate Partner of the Florida Theatre since 2019.
“If the Florida Theatre were a BBQ sauce, it would be a tasty mix of honey, vinegar, and spices. Sweet, with an edge. Jacksonvillians have strong feelings about their BBQ, and the Florida Theatre, too,” said Numa Saisselin, President of the Florida Theatre. “We are deeply grateful to Bowing Oaks and all the food and beverage sponsors and everyone who attended for coming together to raise funds in support of the nonprofit and historic Florida Theatre.”
Attendees of this annual event enjoyed an electrifying evening of live Blues music from Smokestack, Toots Lorraine & The Traffic, and Neil Dixon, plus unlimited local BBQ, the best craft beer, and a curated bourbon selection.
