The 100 Black Men of Jacksonville, Inc., in partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, proudly marked the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with a highly successful America250 “America Gives” National Day of Service event, reinforcing a shared commitment to service, innovation, and community empowerment.
Hosted at Coca-Cola Beverages Florida’s Jacksonville facility, the event welcomed 25–30 Coding in Color students, along with mentors from the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville and Coca-Cola Florida associates. As part of Coca-Cola’s national Signature Moment Series, the experience provided students with direct exposure to a professional corporate environment while highlighting the power of mentorship, technology, and civic engagement.
During the centerpiece Student Technology Showcase, participants demonstrated original websites, video games, data dashboards, and community-centered technology solutions designed to address real needs in Jacksonville. These projects reflected not only strong technical skills, but also a deep commitment to uplifting the communities where the students live, work, and play. A collaborative Q&A roundtable further allowed students to engage directly with Coca-Cola Florida leaders and volunteers, fostering dialogue around career pathways, leadership, and community responsibility.
“This partnership represents far more than a single day of service,” said Christopher Jett, President of the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville. “Our continued collaboration with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida demonstrates what is possible when corporate partners invest in youth development, innovation, and long-term community impact.”
Coca-Cola Beverages Florida leaders and associates, including senior executives, community engagement professionals, and IT specialists, played an active role throughout the day, providing mentorship, encouragement, and technical support. Their engagement underscored Coca-Cola Florida’s ongoing dedication to service, volunteerism, and meaningful local partnerships.
The success of the “America Gives” MLK Day of Service event reflects the momentum and vision driving the 100 Black Men of Jacksonville, Inc. forward. Through strategic partnerships like this one, the organization continues to expand opportunities for young men and women to gain real-world skills, professional exposure, and confidence to lead.
The 100 Black Men of Jacksonville, Inc. extends sincere gratitude to Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, its associates, mentors, volunteers, and dedicated chapter members whose leadership and service made this impactful day possible.
