Get ready to groove, Jacksonville! The legendary music of Earth, Wind & Fire is set to light up the stage as the EWF Tribute Band headlines the FSCJ Artist Series on Friday, October 24th at 7 p.m. inside the Moran Theatre downtown.

For fans who grew up on the band’s signature sound — a fusion of funk, R&B, jazz, and soul — this concert promises an unforgettable night celebrating one of music’s most enduring legacies.

Manager Larry Adams can hardly contain his excitement about bringing the show to Duval. “Maurice White wrote music that has stood the test of time,” said Adams. “His songs still inspire, uplift, and connect people across generations.”

A drummer by trade, Adams — alongside former manager Alvin Kellibrew — has spent more than 15 years touring with the tribute group, keeping Earth, Wind & Fire’s spirit alive on stages across the country and around the world. Their performances breathe new life into classics that have moved millions, from “September” and “Let’s Groove” to “Reasons” and “Fantasy.”

“This music affects us — the fans — and connects to the spirituality and self-awareness found in its lyrics,” Adams shared. “As a teenager, I started on the drums, blending contemporary and gospel beats into my sound. Music has always been a part of my life and my passion.”

The EWF Tribute Band calls all fans to the dance floor for a night of celebration, nostalgia, and joy. Their live shows radiate the same warmth, energy, and harmony that made Earth, Wind & Fire a cultural phenomenon.

With appearances at prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center Honors and performances across international stages, the tribute group continues to share the iconic sound that shaped generations.

Founded in 1969, Earth, Wind & Fire’s original members — Verdine White, Philip Bailey, and Ralph Johnson — continue to perform worldwide, carrying forward the musical legacy started by the late Maurice White.

Whether you’re reliving cherished memories or discovering these timeless tunes for the first time, the EWF Tribute Band’s performance is sure to stir the soul and lift the spirit.
