North Jacksonville Florida Blue Center hosted a member appreciation event on Saturday, November 13th from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. inside the River City Marketplace located on the Northside.

Community partners were onsite with healthcare information pertaining to prostate cancer and health care insurance options. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with community partners and vendors. “This has been an excited day. Anytime we can educate the community on healthcare initiatives and open enrollment then we have done our job,” said Barry Case (North Jacksonville Florida Blue Center Manager).  Also on campus was PROTalks (Prostate Research Options Outreach & Opportunities) representative A.J. Merriweather, an advocate for Prostate cancer. “My brother and I both had prostate cancer.  We are doing well now.  PROTalks goal is to continue educating Black males on the First Coast.”
