Judge Brian Davis Honored with Portrait Unveiling

In a recent ceremony at the Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse in Yulee, the federal judiciary and legal community celebrated the  official unveiling of the portraits of Senior U.S. District Judge Brian J. Davis, alongside portraits of  Judge Henry Lee Adams, and James H. Daniel. This event honored Judge Davis’ distinguished service on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and his commitment to the law and his community.

Judge James H. Daniel

A Jacksonville native, was nominated to the federal bench by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the the U.S. Senate in December 2013. After serving actively for a decade, he assumed senior status on December 30, 2023 while continuant his judicial work. His career reflects a longstanding dedication to justice in Northeast Florida, including service as a circuit court judge and as an assistant state attorney prior to his federal appointment.

Judge Davis’ portrait now joins the permanent collection at the federal courthouse, serving as a reminder of his contributions to the middle district of Florida and the broader legal profession.
