For 54 years, The Price Is Right has permeated the airwaves with its iconic game show antics. Premiering on September 4, 1972, legendary media personality Bob Barker hosted the show for 35 years, guiding contestants through bidding wars and unforgettable showcase prizes.
This past weekend, The Price Is Right Live™ brought that excitement to the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts, transforming the venue into a high-energy, interactive game show experience. Attendees received name tags, watched nostalgic clips honoring Bob Barker’s enduring legacy, and eagerly awaited their chance to hear the famous call to “Come on down!”
Four contestants at a time were called to the stage to test their pricing skills, with winners spinning the giant wheel for a chance at the coveted Showcase round. Prizes included kitchen appliances, trips to London and Cancun, and even a Hyundai SUV.
