International Women’s Day Community Event

The Jacksonville Immigrant Rights Alliance (JIRA) announces a community event on Sunday, March 8th at 3:00 PM at Curtis Lovelace Park, bringing together residents, families, and supporters to honor immigrant women. Immigrant women are facing increased aggression and are struggling against border militarization. JIRA believes the struggle for immigrant rights is inseparable from women’s liberation.

Held on International Women’s Day, the gathering will highlight the essential role immigrant women play in Jacksonville and across the country. The event will include a panel discussion, cultural performances, live music, and food.
