

Duval Skip Day returned to the city for their second round ‘Duval Skip Day.’ Hosted by promoters Jose Oglesby and Michael Bend, the event was held at Aromas Cigar Bar is reminiscent of the thrill of sneaking a “skip day” back in high school. The event takes that same energy, flips it, and delivers it on an adult level. Imagine stepping out of the office early, cashing in some PTO, or even bringing your laptop along as you mix business with pleasure. That’s the spirit behind Duval Skip Day Party: freedom, fun, and a chance to relive those carefree days grown-up style.
The event has quickly become a Jacksonville staple, happening quarterly and drawing huge crowds from across Duval County, Clay County, Nassau County, and beyond. Each Skip Day Party offers a unique twist, moving to different exciting venues around the city. You never know what surprise guest you might bump into from celebrity athletes to radio personalities and some of the biggest DJs in Florida. The day party is a full cultural experience with local vendors, food favorites, shopping, dancing to networking. “It’s a vibe that captures the true spirit of Duval with energy, excitement and community spirit,” said attendee Theo Lawrence.
