Third annual awards gala honors Black media members in The River City, Thursday, September 8th at 6 p.m. The Ken Knight Awards, named after well known journalist and media pioneer Ken Knight, will take place on honoring black journalists, podcasters, anchors and more. The namesake of the awards, Ken Knight is credited with starting a movement in which African Americans asked for more of their music and announcements to be aired.
