Jacksonville, Fla. – On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, The Police Athletic League of Jacksonville will hold its seventeenth annual Christmas for Kids.
The event, sponsored by community volunteers Steve Vining and Steve Weintraub, JSO/JaxPAL, will allow over 200 kids to shop with a JSO Officer, Firefighter, Community Service Officer, or community volunteer. Santa Claus is scheduled to make an appearance. Community organizations choose the kids in need. All will have a fantastic time shopping and enjoying the company of our local first responders.
About PAL: The Police Athletic League (PAL) of Jacksonville is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) youth-serving organization with the cooperative effort of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO). PAL’s mission is to reduce juvenile crime and instill positive values, character, and leadership skills through athletic, academic, and leadership programs throughout the community. PAL offers services to over 4,000 Jacksonville children annually.
