Jacksonville Civil Rights Conference

United Way of Northeast Florida and LIFE Inaugural Jacksonville Civil Rights Conference will take place February 3rd – 5th, inside the Southbank Marriott 1515 Prudential Dr at 4:30 p.m. The conference will showcase the rich legacy of Jacksonville’s Black history and its legendary pioneers in the fight for civil rights with speakers Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole (president emerita, Spelman College and Bennett College), The Rev. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson (American academic, author, ordained minister, and radio host) and Rodney L. Hurst Sr. (author, Civil Rights activist and Black historian).
