Construction ReadyCareerExpo

What: Construction Ready is expanding its successful CareerExpo program to Florida. The 2024 CareerExpo & SkillsUSA State Championships in Jacksonville will provide hands-on learning for Florida K-12 and college students, connecting them with professionals in the skilled trades.
Why: There is a high need for skilled workers across Florida. More workers are retiring than are entering the workforce. Closing this “skills gap” and educating more people about careers in the skilled professions is Construction Ready’s primary goal.

Monday, April 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Tuesday, April 16, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Where: Prime Osborn Convention Center, Jacksonville, 1000 Water Street, Jacksonville
Who: Thousands are expected to attend, including K-12 and college students from across Florida who will learn about careers in the skilled trades from more than teachers, parents, school counselors, and administrators. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with professionals from leading companies about jobs in the industry.
Industries Represented: Construction management, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, energy and more.
Colleges/Universities: Dozens of colleges and universities representing eight different career clusters.
