The Moncrief Community center was the scene for friend of the community and author Willie “Bo” Walker’s 70th birthday party. Fifty of “Bo’s” closest family, friends and coworkers attended the soiree. Bo is a 1965 graduate of Northwestern High School and a retiree of the United States Post Office. During his 70 years of life, Bo’s leadership included active participation in the Boy Scouts, coaching soft ball and maintaining his membership at One Church of Jax.  Bo has been married for 14 years to his wife Sandra and is the author of the book, “The ‘Bo’ you Don’t Know”. The book details his life experiences, his Sunday school prayers, guidance and determination that have him walking in righteousness. “I have learned how to be satisfied and blessed for the years I have lived,” said Bo.  Guests enjoyed a feast of BBQ chicken, ribs, appetizers and a birthday cake fit for a king while dancing to the wee hoursof the morning.  Bo is shown cutting his cake with guests l-r John Meuse, wife Sandra Walker, Lois Lee, Edith Lee and Archiepheem Lee.
