Guests gathered in cocktail attire for the event, which showcased local musical talent while raising support for scholarships benefiting students in Duval County.
Guitarist Dami Hendrix, an Edward Waters University alumnus, opened the musical offerings, followed by saxophonist Marcus Click and his band, who delivered a contemporary jazz performance that served as the centerpiece of the evening.
First Coast News personality Christina Burgess served as mistress of ceremonies. Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter President Christina D. Stallings welcomed guests, while Arts and Letters Committee Co-Chairs Angela Uche and Kruzshander Scott helped lead the program.
The evening also included a social action segment highlighting the sorority chapter’s emphasis on civic engagement and community service.
Sponsors included Wick: A Candle Bar and Cynfully Delicious Treatz.
“Sax in the City” combined the arts with philanthropy, bringing members and supporters together to strengthen the Joann Manning Endowment Scholarship and its mission of helping local Duval County students pursue their educational goals.
The event reflected the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter’s continued commitment to scholarship, service, civic engagement and the arts.
