The YMCA African American CEO Conference was recently hosted by First Coast YMCA President and CEO Eric Mann at The JessieĀ  DuPont Center in downtown Jacksonville. The conference brought together African American YMCA CEOs from across the country for an impactful and forward-thinking leadership summit. The gathering created space for meaningful dialogue on several topics including community and organizational growth, leveraging artificial intelligence in the nonprofit sector, navigating an evolving media landscape, adapting to shifts in donor and philanthropic engagement, and addressing strategic and cultural fragmentation in an increasingly complex environment.

The conference underscored the power of peer learning, collaborative problem-solving, and innovative leadership strategies, while strengthening the collective capacity of YMCA leaders to serve their communities with resilience, relevance, and purpose.

After more than four decades of serving YMCAs across the country. including 14 years as President and CEO of the YMCA of Florida’s FirstĀ  Coast, Mann will retire this summer.

“It’s been a tremendous honor to serve the YMCA and the Northeast Florida community,” said Mann speaking to the CEOS.
