Zeta Amicae Celebrate 78 Years of Faith, Sisterhood, and Service

McCoy | The Zeta Amicae of Jacksonville marked their 78th Charter Day Celebration with a faith-filled gathering hosted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter, on February 21 at Refresh Ministries. Centered on the theme, “Anchored in Faith, Activated in Love: A Sisterhood with Purpose,” the program highlighted the organization’s enduring commitment to service and sisterhood.

The celebration included greetings from chapter leadership, a meaningful invocation, reflections on Amicae history, and special words of wisdom from Elise Mason of Kennesaw, Georgia. Guests shared fellowship during the breaking of bread before hearing a powerful message from Pastor Michelle Godfrey of Refresh Ministries Jacksonville.

The event concluded with presentations and closing remarks honoring the legacy and impact of the Zeta Amicae of Jacksonville. “This was truly a celebration of commitment, community, and enduring sisterhood,” said Jendayi Mitchell, Amicae President. Established nationally in 1947, The Zeta Amicae (Friends of Zeta) support Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated members with community service, outreach, food drives and national initiatives.
