By Tanyika Armstrong | WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Families poured into LEGOLAND Florida Resort on Friday, October 18, for an unforgettable evening of spooky fun,
candy, and creativity during this year’s Brick-or-Treat Monster Party. From the moment we walked through the gates, the park was alive with Halloween excitement.
candy, and creativity during this year’s Brick-or-Treat Monster Party. From the moment we walked through the gates, the park was alive with Halloween excitement.Seven themed candy stations lined the walkways, each offering sweet treats and smiles from costumed LEGO Monsters. My kids darted from one station to the next, their buckets filling fast, while the friendly Model Citizens kept the energy high and family-friendly. We caught two of the live performances — the Cheerleading Mummy Show and the closing light-and-fireworks finale — both filled with the kind of humor, color, and imagination that make LEGOLAND special.
The rides were just as thrilling as ever, and what stood out most was how inclusive the experience felt. My son, who is hearing-impaired, was able to participate fully thanks to the park’s sensory-friendly activities and accessibility accommodations. He didn’t have to wait in long queues, which made our visit smoother and more enjoyable for the whole family.
“Inclusivity is at the heart of the LEGOLAND experience,” said Julie Estrada, North America Communications Director for Merlin Entertainments. “LEGOLAND Florida Resort is proud to be a Certified Autism Center, and our Model Citizens are trained to assist guests with special needs to ensure everyone can enjoy the event safely and comfortably.”

Estrada explained that accessibility extends throughout the resort, with Accessibility Guides, Hero Passes to reduce wait times, and sensory guides to help families plan visits based on lighting and sound levels. “Our goal,” she added, “is to make Brick-or-Treat a celebration everyone can enjoy.”
Each year, LEGOLAND’s Brick-or-Treat continues to grow, offering new ways to play and celebrate. “From LEGO models found throughout the park and immersive show sets to hands-on building activities, kids are encouraged to imagine, create, and play their way through the Halloween adventure,” Estrada said. “It’s designed to be a child’s first Halloween experience — safe, playful, and bursting with creativity.”
Families can trick-or-treat through seven themed candy stations presented by HARIBO, meet their favorite LEGO Monsters, and dance at Lord Vampyre’s V.I.M. Dance Party or the Zombie Cheer Crew Tryouts. The night caps off with the Monster Skytacular Drone Show, a dazzling mix of fireworks, upbeat music, and hundreds of choreographed drones lighting up the sky in true LEGO fashion.
For families planning their trip, Estrada offered this advice:“Arrive early to enjoy daytime rides before the Halloween fun begins — candy stations open at 2 p.m. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are must-haves. And costumes are encouraged! Families can even upgrade to VIP seating for the Monster Skytacular Drone Show, which includes reserved stadium seating, a commemorative lanyard, pop badge, and bottled water.”
As the fireworks faded and the lights dimmed, one thing was clear — Brick-or-Treat has become a beloved family tradition. It captures the spirit of Halloween in a way that’s uniquely LEGO: creative, colorful, and completely kid-friendly.“
Families return year after year because it’s a place where every child can celebrate Halloween their way, with imagination leading the fun,” Estrada said.
For anyone seeking a not-so-scary Halloween celebration built brick-by-brick for family fun, Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a must-visit.
(The holiday season returns with “Holidays at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Presented by the Hallmark Channel” on select dates December 6, 13, 20, and 24–31.)
