Marines Lauded by City Council for Downtown Economic Impact

The City of Jacksonville presented a city council resolution to the United States Marine Corps. The event was held to announce the details of the United States Marine Corps’ Restriction of Movement (ROM) recruiting mission that has taken place at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville over the past six months.

The United States Marine Corps’ decision for Jacksonville to serve as the east coast location for Operation ROM has resulted in a significant economic impact on the city and its hospitality industry helping the recovery process from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Shown is City Councilman Tommy Hazouri presenting the resolution to United States Marine Corps representative Major Ken Greer and Colonel Riccoh Player.
