Book Signing Debut – Author Gracie Chandler book signing debut of her new novel, “Free To Be,” Thursday, July 9^th, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Historic Springfield Community Learning Center, 1601 N. Main Street. The book gives the reader a fictionalized account of slaves in the South Carolina Sea Islands who lived free during the Civil War, working for the Federal government.
